11 Oct JONAH’S WHALE BEACH
There’s a place close to Sydney, Australia, that is calling you. Where you can remove yourself from the busy world we are all so accustomed to. For no matter how long or short your visit should be, you leave feeling feel relaxed and rested. Where you feel like you are in another country. That place, my friends, is Jonah’s on Whale Beach.
Jonah’s Whale Beach is a beautiful restaurant and boutique hotel just over an hour (if that) from Sydney CBD, where I had the absolute privilege of staying for a few nights. There are few places in your own country that make you feel like you could be somewhere else in the world. I could stand on our suite balcony and almost pretend I were on a modern Italian coast, or a grassy-green island somewhere far away.
I spent my days eating impeccable food at the restaurant overlooking the water, sucking up freshly shucked oysters on the terrace, swimming in the infinite pool, lounging at their bar talking about the latest books we were reading, and soaking in the sun rays and breathing in the sea air that were both lacing their way through the weekend.
A 5-10 minute walk on the opposite side from the hotel is an incredible look out which is part of Bible Gardens. There is a guest book there for any visitor to sign their name and leave a message – which of course I had to do!
The outfit details are sported in Uniqlo’s Premium Linen wear, Woody Roo’s killer Ocean Linen Shorts, Handsom’s grandfather collar shirt, the must have Campbell & Hall PJ Navy Stripe Pants, and my favourite sandals from Urge Footwear called Mykonos.
If anyone is looking for a romantic getaway, stress leave, or an excuse to evacuate your busy lives, I guarantee you Jonah’s is your option. Even if you can only stay for one night, you will walk away feeling revamped and refreshed.
